The checker discs, however, are in great shape with pretty light wear. They even come in the original box shipped from General Mills, as pictured.     Description

    This is a General Mills promotional product that I would imagine you had to mail away for back in the day. It is a large, plastic tarp holding the image of a checker board on one side and a tic tac toe game on the other side. Each side features the cartoon cereal mascots the Trix Bunny and Sonny the Cuckoo Bird for Trix. Then you also get a box of large checker discs (for scale purposes each of these discs measures approximately 3 inches in diameter). These discs come in the original box this customer received from General Mills (again, see photos).
    It is vintage, but I can't tell a precise year. There's a copyright, but no year attached to it (see photo). Based upon the mailing label, the best I can guess is that it's 1970's or 1980's. However, both of these mascots were around in the 1960's, so I suppose it might be that old too. No guarantees on a time frame.
