    Description

This glamorous Art Deco-style compact is a Richard Hudnut – Deauville Line product.
Round in shape it measures approximately 2” in diameter and ¾” in height and features a silver-tone finish with intricate detailing on both sides of the case and a blank rectangular cartouche on the lid, for engraving.
This compact has a very unique three-hinged design that includes a mirror that flips up revealing a small rouge compartment.
The inner lid on the other side of the compact lifts up exposing a powder compartment.
The back of the mirror is marked, “Patented Dec. 2, 1924 – Deauville – Richard Hudnut”.
The inner lid of the powder compartment is marked, “Patent Applied For”.
This piece is missing the two original puffs and despite some residue, minor wear, tarnish, smudges, scuffs and scratches, this vintage Richard Hudnut compact is in very good condition.
All of the hinges and closures are in good working order.
