    Description

    For sale is a tie tac presented to me by Japanese Ace Saburo Sakai while he visited the Admiral Nimitz Museum in Texas back in the 1990s.  It is in a small wooden box which is signed by Sakai.  I have attached to this listing two helpful photos, one from the book "Samurai" which tells the story of these pins, mostly made for Japanese Zero pilots.  He also handed them out to other friends he met along the way.  I also include for info purposes, a photo of Sakai and his family with me at the museum.
