    Description

    This is a beautiful gold finish flapper dance Wallet / Compact of beautiful separate design. Made in French in the Arts & Crafts era of the 1920s. The outside of the dance purse is gold finish on metal with embossed specific French style decorations. Also has its original black silk tassel cord. The hinge and closure are of course also in perfect condition. You can open this design on both sides. On one side is a cut mirror with a compartment for unloading powder with a removable sieve. On the other side is a compartment that still holds a creamy foundation. But it is most likely that this compartment was for rouge. There is a hairline crack in the lid of this compartment. The gold finish has a little bit of wear (see photos). So fantastic design and great quality. We left this item as original as we bought it.
