    Description

For sale here from my personal collection is a magnificent Kings drivers gold wire embroidered movie prop tunic from the 2004  'ALEXANDER' the Great film.  The three lions seen on top as well as the belt are all gold wire embroidered which is extremely difficult to make as gold wire breaks easily if hit by a sewing needle destroying the entire piece as the gold wire would then unravel.  Alexander wanted to bridge the gap between the two cultures and make the Macedonians and Persian an allied army of one.  He encourage his men to take up both Persian dress and wives for himself and his Generals.  The beautiful fabric design and gold rope edging seen all over this tunic makes it one of the finer tunics to come from the film.  The tunic was said to have been made to be worn by Colin Farrell but the scene was cut or was not used.  However, it can be seen being worn by King Darius personal chariot driver in the film.
This is the only one of it's kind and was reused in the film 'YEAR ONE' as well.
